My trip to Islamabad.

My trip to Islamabad.

I’m an artist and very much interested in painting. I paint myself and I also admire other artists and their work of art. I like to explore the world of painting, a world which you yourself create. You can do whatever you want to do in that world because it’s yours. So I decided to visit Islamabad which is said to be a beautiful city of Pakistan  and that can also be my inspiration for doing my work. I’ve heard they hold a lot of competitions and exhibitions for artists and their work.
I booked my flight for Friday as I had to come back by Sunday. I packed all my stuff, my paintings, paints and brushes, few clothes, a travel diary, my camera so I can capture beautiful sceneries of the city and people’s work of art. My waiting came to an end and I left for the airport at 7am on Friday. My flight was at 8:45 and the journey was of 2 hours. I read a book, ate and 2 hours passed in a blink of an eye. I reached the airport around 10:40am.
I had already made booking in a hotel so I booked Uber and went there, took a little rest and then set off for the Margalla Hills which in the centre of beauty of  Islamabad.

Greenery was everywhere and it was truly beautiful and appealing to see. Environment was clean and air was fresh. I captured a lot of beautiful photos and spent a good time around the mountains.

The view of the whole city from Monal Restaurant was magnificent. A sight worth seeing. I spent a lot of my time there. My next destination was Lok Virsa where the exhibition was supposed to be held at 4pm on Saturday.

I had taken my art stuff with me and reached there around 3:30. I looked around the place and great paintings were there, other work of art and artistic carvings. The exhibition went pretty well and I also got to sold 3 of my paintings. I ate delicious food and the exhibition ended around 8pm.

I came back to my hotel and wrote down my experience in my diary. On Sunday a competition was held in GIGA Mall and I had participated in it. I reached there around 12pm. The competition started at 2. A lot of talented artists were there, making masterpieces.

I also made a great scenery. Didn’t get to reach top 3 but got 6th position and was awarded with a certificate as the top 10 would get the certificates and top 3 would be rewarded with cash prize too. It was a great experience. It was my last day at Islamabad and I had my flight at 2am and it was 8pm right now. I thought of visiting some other places in Islamabad before leaving this beautiful city.

I checked in a restaurant “Savour Foods” which had splendid taste in their foods. Then at 11:30pm I came back to hotel, rested for a while and left for the airport. It was a marvellous trip to a marvellous city.
