we think about possible mental therapies, let's understand that mental

and your behavior. There are many causes of mental illness. Your genes and
family history may play a role, as can your life experiences such as stress or
a history of abuse. Other causes may be biological. Mental disorders are
common, but treatments are available.
Mental
Health Teams are services aimed at outpatient care for people with mental
disorders, especially those who, due to the complexity of their symptoms,
exceed the care capacity of Primary Care Teams.
Taking
into account their individual care needs, the patient can be referred by the
primary care doctor to their mental health center, attached to their reference
hospital, to receive specialized medical-psychiatric or combined
medical-psychological care.
Patient
care in mental therapy services is carried out by a multidisciplinary team made
up of, among other professionals, medical specialists in psychiatry,
psychologists specializing in clinical psychology, nurses, social workers, and
occupational therapists, differentiating care for children and adolescents and
adults over 18 years of age.
Throughout
their clinical evolution, some patients may require psychiatric hospitalization
or continue treatment in a day hospital or in specialized facilities adapted to
their needs.
People
with serious chronic and complex mental disorder are included in a continuity
of care program whose mission is to provide them with the set of necessary aids
so that they have the opportunity to achieve recovery from their illness
through a process of sustained treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation, with
the objectives of overcoming or reducing their symptoms and disabilities and of
reaching the highest possible level of personal autonomy and social
participation.
For
the development of this program, the specific resources of the wide network of
social care for people with serious and lasting mental illness of the Ministry
of Social Policies and Family are available, such as psychosocial
rehabilitation centers, occupational rehabilitation centers, residences,
supervised flats, social support day centers, community social support teams,
supervised places in boarding houses and social care services and support for
the social reintegration of homeless people with severe mental illness.
